About The Position
To perform job functions required and/or assigned in the fabrication of iron as steel structures in accordance with the contract/job specifications and quality assurance requirements/fitting procedures and established ISO/QC program standards.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience and be able to successfully demonstrate the ability to pass a written and practical fitter test
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to read and write in English.
Nice To Haves
- Highschool diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Follow written and/or verbal instructions with little or no supervision
- Read and interpret blueprint and specification schedules
- Perform mathematical calculations, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, angles, etc.
- Measure, cut, fit, and/or install iron and steel braces, beams, plates, pipe, etc., in accordance to blueprint and job specifications schedules
- Follow fitting procedures and principles used in the fabrication of offshore jackets, decks, heliports, production facilities, etc.
- Perform other related job duties as assigned in a safe and efficient manner; also, see physical requirements
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
