Structural Engineering Manager – Bridges (P.Eng.)

Requirements
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of structural engineering experience
- Experience acting as Engineer-of-Record
- Experience reviewing and sealing structural engineering deliverables
- Strong understanding of Canadian engineering standards and applicable design codes
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities
- Act as Engineer-of-Record for bridge and structural steel projects
- Review, approve, and seal engineering deliverables
- Establish engineering standards, procedures, and best practices
- Ensure compliance with applicable Canadian engineering codes and standards
- Provide technical leadership on complex and non-standard projects
- Maintain professional practice requirements across applicable jurisdictions
- Support constructability reviews and installation methodologies
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, EITs, designers, and drafters
- Establish performance goals and development plans
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning initiatives
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Support professional development and P.Eng. mentorship activities
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Project teams throughout project lifecycles
- Support project estimating, feasibility reviews, and value engineering initiatives
- Review contract drawings and engineering deliverables
- Provide technical support to owners, consultants, and contractors
- Assist with site support, field problem-solving, and installation activities as required
- Drive engineering excellence and product innovation
- Support research and development initiatives
- Improve engineering workflows, design standards, and document control practices
- Evaluate emerging technologies, materials, and engineering methods
- Analyze industry trends and competitor offerings to strengthen market position
