About The Position

As a Structural Engineering Designer, you will play an important role in the design and delivery of building projects across a variety of markets. Working alongside licensed Professional Engineers and a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to structural design, analysis, documentation, and project coordination from concept through construction. This position will involve performing structural calculations and analysis, developing structural models, preparing construction drawings and details, coordinating with project teams, assisting with construction administration, conducting field observations and inspections, and preparing technical documentation. You will have the opportunity to expand your technical expertise while taking increasing ownership of project tasks and deliverables. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of experience in structural engineering design with a strong understanding of structural engineering principles, building systems, and applicable codes and standards. Proficiency with structural design software such as STAAD or RAM, along with experience using Revit and AutoCAD, is required. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines are essential. Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in structural engineering design
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, building systems, and applicable codes and standards
  • Proficiency with structural design software such as STAAD or RAM
  • Experience using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines
  • Understanding of structural engineering principles related to the design of buildings
  • Review and understand design codes such as Building Code of New York State, International Building Code, ASCE-07, AISC, and ACI
  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Civil Engineering is required
  • EIT License required

  • Emphasis on Structural Engineering or Masters in Structural Engineering is a plus
