Our growing Design Center Team in the Toledo, OH office is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our Places Business Area. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Microstation CAD software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • This position requires a current valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship or co-op experience in a Consulting Engineering firm or Municipal work environment.
  • Familiarity with structural analysis and design software (such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, or similar).
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or ability to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical and design support for industrial and/or water project designs as part of a team.
  • Preparing calculations, drawings, and technical reports for structural engineering projects.
  • Corresponding with project managers, project teams, and clients.
  • Engaging in a variety of market sectors with the guidance and experience of the existing team to grow professionally.
  • Working on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously with the initiative and ability to take on new projects and other challenges regularly.
  • Participating in site visits, inspections, and providing support during construction phases as required.
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and Arcadis quality procedures.
