About The Position

Parsons is seeking a 2027 Structural Summer Intern for its Federal Solutions team. Under the direction of a degreed, registered structural engineer, the intern will perform basic to moderately difficult engineering support assignments requiring fundamental knowledge of structural engineering design and drafting standards, practices, and techniques. The intern will formalize engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, and structural calculations into reports, calculations, and structural drawings.

Requirements

• Fundamental technical knowledge in structural engineering.
• Typically, at least three years of studies completed.
• Enrolled in a Civil or Structural Engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university.
• Coursework including structural analysis and structural design in concrete, steel, masonry, and wood.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and subject to a background investigation.

Nice To Haves

• Perform structural engineering calculations according to building codes.
• Create drawings with Revit/BIM.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to moderately difficult structural engineering support assignments under the direction of a degreed engineer.
