About The Position

The Structural Engineer II will perform structural analyses of Landing Systems components and assemblies under the guidance of senior engineers. The role develops analysis solutions using classical methods and/or Finite Element Analysis (FEA), supports risk assessments, and evaluates static and fatigue failure modes. The engineer completes assigned work to deadlines, follows established processes, and produces high-quality engineering documentation. The position provides analysis support for new product introductions (NPIs), material review boards (MRBs), Part Deviation Addendums (PDAs), and field investigations. The engineer prepares analysis summaries, engineering reports, and presentations; participates in integrated product teams; and collaborates with design, materials, and test engineering. The role also supports preparation of test plans and validation, verification, and correlation of structural performance using test data, as well as basic analysis workflow automation and continuous improvement of analytical methods and engineering processes. This hybrid role is based at the Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location and requires the employee to reside in Puerto Rico when employment starts. The schedule is three days onsite and two days remote, as assigned by the manager. Relocation is not offered. U.S. citizenship is required to access information under the program/contract; no security clearance is required.

Requirements

  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and typically two years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience with linear structural analysis.
  • Professional experience communicating in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program/contract.
  • Must reside in Puerto Rico at the time employment starts.
