About The Position

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Data Visualization Engineer to join its Advanced Structures Engineering organization, supporting next-generation aerospace systems. The position designs and delivers visualization and analytics capabilities that enable engineers and leaders to make data-driven decisions, improve design validation and system reliability, and optimize development efficiency. It works closely with engineering, design, and leadership teams and requires a strong technical background and understanding of data modeling, data relationships, and visualization best practices. The role is based in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, and is hybrid, with three days onsite and two days remote according to the manager's assigned schedule. Candidates must reside in Puerto Rico when employment starts; relocation is not offered. Travel may be up to 10% domestically and internationally, as business needs permit. U.S. citizenship is required to access information under the program/contract; no security clearance is required. The engineer will develop Tableau dashboards and analytic applications, process and analyze engineering and operational datasets, and build scalable visualization solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, digital thread standards, and UX practices. The role integrates varied data sources, establishes data models and KPI frameworks, translates business and engineering questions into analytical solutions, and contributes to Agile delivery. It also includes documentation and presentations, mentoring junior colleagues, and supporting future expansion into Power BI, Power Apps, and application integration.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a STEM degree and five years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and at least three years of experience.
  • Professional experience using Python and SQL for data analysis or automation.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, or Apache Superset to develop dashboards or analytics products.
  • Experience with data wrangling, cleaning, and transformation as part of an analytics workflow.
