Dewberry is seeking a Structural Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience to work in our Eastern, Central, or Western PA locations. The candidate will also be involved in the development of proposals, contract plans, the preparation of engineer's estimates and construction specifications, and performing construction support services. Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering (MS in Structural Engineering preferred).
  • 5 to 10 years of experience with PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike Commission.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is required (PE preferred).
  • Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A desire to work in a team environment.
  • Proficient in the use of PennDOT’s structural design software and other industry-standard structural software.
  • Driving is a requirement of the position.
  • A clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structure related design for transportation projects.
  • Assigns tasks to and coordinates with entry-level engineers, technicians or administrative staff.
  • Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements.
  • Development of proposals, contract plans, the preparation of engineer's estimates and construction specifications, and performing construction support services.
  • Structure related design for transportation projects including: Bridges, Retaining Walls, Culverts, Sign Structures, Contract Plans, Engineer’s Estimates, Construction Specifications, Shop Drawing Review.
