About The Position

The Miami, FL office of Modjeski and Masters, Inc. is seeking Structural Bridge Design Engineers with experience in Bridge Design. Established more than 130 years ago, our firm is responsible for the design and maintenance of some of our nation’s most recognizable structures. Services include fixed and movable bridge design, inspection and rehabilitation, and all facets of life-cycle maintenance, research, and code development. As a Structural Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters, you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients. As a member of our team, you'll be immediately responsible for performing engineering tasks under the careful supervision of established and respected professionals. You'll have opportunities to interact with clients, become a valued partner on a variety of high-impact projects, and apply fresh insights at every stage of a bridge's life cycle. Requirements

  • Registered PE in the State of Florida
  • 15 related years of related Bridge design experience preferably in Florida.
  • A minimum of a BS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
  • Experience in pursuing and managing multi-discipline projects, including projects with bridge replacement, new bridge alignment, or bridge rehabilitation.
  • Client Relationships with FDOT District Four and FDOT District Six.
  • Ability to work in a team environment on related projects.
  • Good oral and written communications skills, with a fluency in English
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the planning, design, and delivery of bridge projects from concept through construction.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration and growth.
  • Prepare proposals and marketing presentations.
  • Pursue and win projects with FDOT and local agency clients
  • Manage multiple projects.
  • Oversee and coordinate project teams, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with design standards.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for bridge designs.
  • Maintain strong client relationships
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
