About The Position

Velos is seeking a Structural Dynamics Engineer to support an engineering and technical services contract at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) facility in Washington, DC. The role provides engineering support in structural dynamics caused by vehicle loads and involves designing and analyzing aerospace and spacecraft structures and assemblies subject to vibration, shock, and thermal loads. The position requires preparing models for launch-vehicle contractor coupled-load analyses, reviewing test data, addressing technical problems, and coordinating with other technical disciplines to meet spacecraft-level objectives. The engineer also conducts modal and materials analyses, uses appropriate computer programs, and communicates results through presentations and written documentation. This is a full-time position requiring Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship. The stated salary range is $120,000–$160,000.
