About The Position
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days a week in the office and two days remote. The position involves utilizing creativity and innovation to develop CAD 3D design models of steel structures and concrete foundations for 2D drawing deliverables. Responsibilities include supporting senior designers by producing structural drawings on-time and within budget, maintaining quality, consistency, and accountability. The role also requires collaborating with mechanical and electrical designers to resolve clashes within the 3D model and may involve travel to client facilities to verify on-site physical design conditions. The position offers exposure to a wide range of technologies in power generation, mining, oil & gas, and renewables, including carbon capture, solar, wind, battery storage, hydrogen, and natural gas.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology preferred.
- CAD certificate required if non-degreed.
- Previous relevant experience considered.
- Proficiency in at least one major CAD software (i.e. AutoCAD or MicroStation).
- Awareness of American Concrete Institute (ACI) for foundation design.
- Awareness of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) manual for steel design.
- Awareness of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
- Attention to detail.
- Time management.

Responsibilities
