About The Position

ARCXIS is seeking a full-time Structural Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in AutoCAD and capable of producing structural designs and details for residential buildings under tight deadlines. Previous experience designing buildings with steel, wood, and concrete is preferred. Additional experience with mechanicals and HVAC is considered a plus. The role requires a reliable, hardworking, and self-starting individual who enjoys challenges. This position offers the opportunity to join an energetic team in a growing Houston office with potential for development and growth.

Requirements

Excellent AutoCAD skills
2-6 years structural design experience in the building design industry
Experienced in wood-framed construction
Understanding of building envelope requirements
Strong writing/grammar skills
Able to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally with Architects, Builders, and Owners
Strong organization and time management skills
Ability to multi-task and run multiple projects concurrently
Willingness to work long days and weekends as required
Eligibility to work in the United States (no sponsorship or visa transfer available)

Nice To Haves

Previously designed buildings with steel, wood, and concrete
Additional experience working with mechanicals and HVAC
Familiarity in building codes

Responsibilities
