About The Position
Sunflower is hiring a Structural Design Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Great Bend, KS. This role involves helping to design, engineer, install, and commission critical electrical transmission and distribution facilities. The intern will work on challenges such as line routing, structural design, conductor evaluation, field surveying, and developing construction drawings, engineering calculations, and innovative solutions. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in an electric utility setting and contribute to providing reliable energy.
Requirements
- Two years of engineering education at an ABET accredited institution.
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, install, and commission critical electrical transmission and distribution facilities.
