Miro, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Structural Design Engineer Intern to join our team. This is a hands-on internship with exposure to a diverse range of projects nationwide, working alongside licensed engineers through design and construction phases. Interns at Miro contribute to live project work under the direction of a supervising engineer. Interns receive mentorship and feedback while collaborating with experienced professionals.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering
Completion of foundational coursework in statics, mechanics of materials, and structural analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Attention to detail and a willingness to ask questions, and eager to learn
Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Ability to commute to the work location where the Internship is based (Denver, CO)
Ability to work in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook

Nice To Haves

Rising senior, or graduate student pursuing an M.S. in Structural or Architectural Engineering
Coursework or project exposure to steel, concrete, masonry, or wood design
Interest in office, institutional, multi-family, parking structures, retail, health care, mixed-use, or light industrial project types
On track to sit for the FE exam

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing project documents, structural drawings, and specifications
Perform engineering calculations for structural components and systems under supervision
Assist with review of shop drawing submittments
Support the design team through design and construction phases, including RFI research
Participate in site visits during construction as project schedules allow
Attend project team meetings and internal design reviews
Prepares presentations
Performs research and special studies
Data entry
Other duties as assigned
