About The Position

Lead, evaluate, design, and engineer projects and systems to specification on projects ranging from new design/build to rehabilitation of existing facilities and systems. Provide ongoing technical guidance and engineering issue resolution as needed. Performs more complex modeling, drawings and specifications related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection or other systems. Performs more complex calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, hydraulic calculations, etc. Prepares preliminary redline design layouts for estimating. May be responsible for a single phase of a project. Provides guidance to less experienced engineers. Performs on-site field surveys to collect or deliver design and engineering data. Assists in writing technical narratives and responses to RFIs. Responsible for Code compliance.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Engineering or related field
• PE License preferred
• Minimum 3 years’ experience
• Basic knowledge of applicable systems design, such as fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc., as well as general understanding of system operations.
• Ability to read construction documents.
• Strong verbal and written technical communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel
