About The Position

Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital is a leading cardiac center, offering an immersion opportunity in structural heart care. This position places the fellow alongside respected structural heart interventionalists, Dr. Timothy Byrne and Dr. Akil Loli, in a high-volume, academically engaged program. With nearly 900 structural cases completed in 2025 and complete autonomy to scrub into any case, fellows will sharpen their skills in an environment focused on clinical excellence. The program is designed for those ready to advance their structural skillset.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology
• Eligible for or currently licensed in the State of Arizona
• Minimum of 2 years post-fellowship experience with independent cath lab experience

Responsibilities

• Scrub into structural heart cases.
• Participate in biweekly TAVR case conferences.
• Fulfill teaching responsibilities with residents and cardiology fellows.
• Actively participate in research, including at least one publication submission.
• Collaborate directly with Dr. Byrne and Dr. Loli.
• Take one weekend of interventional call per month.
