About The Position

The Carondelet Neurological Institute, in partnership with Tenet Health, offers a two-year advanced fellowship designed for neurologists ready to transition into full-scope neurointerventional practice. This program allows fellows to maintain independent clinical work and receive competitive compensation throughout the fellowship. Fellows will train alongside internationally recognized faculty at one of Arizona's premier Comprehensive Stroke Centers, gaining experience in one of the region's highest-volume cerebrovascular programs. The program features dual DNV-certified Stroke Centers, 24/7 access to two biplane angio suites, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team, providing procedural depth and academic rigor for a neuroendovascular career.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in 1,000+ neuroendovascular procedures annually, including 150+ mechanical thrombectomies per year.
  • Manage complex aneurysm flow diversion, acute stroke thrombectomy, AVM embolization, carotid and intracranial stenosis, and rare vascular pathologies.
  • Conduct one clinic day per week for longitudinal patient management.
  • Participate in 7 ED neurology calls per month focused on acute stroke triage and rapid endovascular decision-making.
  • Engage in research, including participation in national/international clinical trials and multicenter registries.
  • Publish and present findings at SNIS, ISC, and AANS/CNS.
