About The Position

The Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) for Genetics and Rehabilitation at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha is seeking applicants for a Fellow position in the integrated Center of Autism Spectrum Disorders (iCASD). This fellowship offers interdisciplinary training in research and clinical services for individuals with genetic and behavior disorders and their families. Fellows will train within UNMC's clinical, research, and teaching environment. The program encourages fellows to develop clinical expertise, initiate research programs, and gain grant-writing skills for securing funding related to autism spectrum disorders, though other genetic and behavior disorders may also be studied. Available tracks include autism diagnostic services, autism treatment, and a hybrid diagnostic/treatment track. More information can be found on the UNMC – MMI iCASD website.

Requirements

  • PhD or PsyD in Psychology or ABA

Responsibilities

  • Provide interdisciplinary training in research and the provision of clinical services for individuals with genetic and behavior disorders and their families.
  • Develop an area of clinical expertise.
  • Begin a corresponding programmatic line of research.
  • Acquire grant-writing skills necessary for securing extramural funding for the study and the assessment/treatment of autism spectrum disorders.
  • Pursue the study and treatment of other genetic and behavior disorders.
