Deaconess Clinic – Heart & Vascular is seeking a BE/BC interventional cardiologist (non-structural) to join a 2+ physician group and 4+ advanced practice provider group employed by Deaconess Specialty Physicians in southern Illinois. The role involves an inpatient and outpatient practice supported by APPs, with two interventional cardiologists and 4+ advanced practice providers. There is a referral network to EP and CV surgery services within the Deaconess system. The primary location is based out of Marion, Ill with some coverage in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and outreach locations. J1 visa applicants are welcomed as this is an underserved community. Our cardiovascular services are supported by advanced imaging in a non-invasive department, cardiac catheterization labs, and electrophysiology suites equipped with the latest technology. We have one dedicated cath lab department at Marion Medical Center and two dedicated non-invasive departments at Marion Medical Center and Mt Vernon Hospital. The clinic is supported by dedicated clinic office staff with a mix of RN and CMA staffing. With Epic implemented for both inpatient and outpatient settings, your workflow is streamlined and efficient.

Requirements

BE/BC interventional cardiologist (non-structural)
Ability to obtain Illinois medical license
Eligible for J1 visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient and outpatient interventional cardiology care.
Perform procedures including Echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, stress testing, coronary CTA, R/ AVL heart catheterizations, PCI, IABP, and Impella placement.
Share call responsibilities with non-invasive and interventional cardiologists.
Collaborate with a respected team of cardiovascular specialists and APPs.
Participate in leadership, quality, and research roles within the Deaconess Health System.
