About The Position

DKK Consulting, Inc. (DKK) is seeking a CAD Technician interested in a unique opportunity to work within an established firm with over 20 years of experience. DKK is a rapidly growing firm offering numerous opportunities for the right individual to excel. This role involves working on diverse projects, often with challenging existing conditions. The candidate will need a strong understanding or a desire to learn all aspects of design programming to the development of Construction Documents. The new team member must accept responsibility for their projects and ensure the quality of their work meets DKK Standards. DKK is looking for a team member ready to make an impact.

Requirements

Proficiency in AutoCAD
Knowledge of structural elements and connections.
A background in civil, structural, and architectural design.
Experience as a CAD Technician, drafter, or similar role
Permitting with Building Department
Construction Document Development: 5 - 8 years

Nice To Haves

Capability to address agency comments for permit approval is a plus.

Responsibilities

Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM) to create, modify, update, and manage technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and designs for a variety of projects.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all designs are delivered on time and within budget.
Apply your understanding of the current Florida Building Code.
Work on civil, structural, and architectural design projects.
Ensure that all designs and drawings comply with company standards, industry regulations, and client specifications.
Assist with revisions and design changes based on feedback from project teams or clients.
Work on residential renovation projects, including home additions, remodels, and structural alterations.
Demonstrate team coordination skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities to enhance project delivery.
Ensure that all work products meet DKK Standards for quality.
