About The Position

A customer in Phoenix, Arizona, has an immediate opening for an Architectural/Structural Drafter. The position involves using AutoCAD to draft and detail custom architectural miscellaneous steel and sheet metal for railings, stairways, enclosures, wall panels, elevators, canopies, escalators, and similar applications. The drafter will also work on fabrication drawings and installation drawings. This is a long-term temp-hire position that requires working on site in Phoenix. The hourly pay range is $25.00 to $30.00.

Requirements

• Coursework and/or a two-year degree in CAD drafting.
• At least two years of experience using AutoCAD for architectural, structural, and mechanical 2D drafting and detailing.
• Experience with miscellaneous steel, architectural steel, and sheet metal detailing.
• Proficiency in fabrication and construction detail drawings, redlines, and drawing updates or changes.
• Strong communication skills.
• Interest in a long-term temp-hire opportunity.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with custom wall panels, railings, staircases, enclosures, elevator and escalator interiors, canopies, kiosks, cladding, or similar work.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD for CAD drafting and detailing of custom architectural miscellaneous steel and sheet metal.
• Create drafting and details for railings, stairways, enclosures, wall panels, elevators, canopies, escalators, and similar applications.
• Prepare fabrication drawings and installation drawings.
• Produce and update fabrication and construction detail drawings, including redlines and drawing changes.
