About The Position

Join an innovative engineering team in Palmdale, California, as a Structural Analysis Engineer focusing on stress analysis, DADT, dynamics, FEA, and FEM for advanced airframe structures. The role analyzes new and existing structures to support safe and efficient aerospace design. It includes performing and updating structural analyses, assessing subsystems and installations, conducting MRB stress analysis, and collaborating across teams to integrate structural solutions. The engineer uses tools including NASTRAN, PATRAN, Abaqus, Altair HyperMesh, and TMP Vision, and interprets engineering drawings and 3D models.

Requirements

• 16 years of hands-on experience in aerospace structural analysis.
• Proficiency in airframe primary structure layout and sizing.
• Expertise in hand and Excel-based stress analysis.
• Advanced user of NASTRAN, HyperMesh, or Abaqus software.
• Skilled with CATIA V5.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and 3D models.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CATIA 3DX.
• Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX systems.
• Knowledge of Slim, Vision, and IDAT.
• Experience with MRB stress analysis and composite structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced stress analysis on primary and secondary airframe structures.
• Update and refine existing analyses to address design modifications.
• Analyze subsystems and subsystem installations for optimal performance.
• Conduct MRB stress analysis of metallic and composite structures.
• Use NASTRAN, PATRAN, and Abaqus for detailed simulations.
• Prepare and process models using Altair HyperMesh and TMP Vision.
• Interpret and validate detail, assembly, and installation drawings and 3D models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate structural solutions.
