About The Position

Join a dynamic engineering team shaping the future of aircraft interiors at Boeing. As a Structures and Payload Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, integrating, and certifying advanced structural and interior payload systems. Work hands-on with 3D CAD tools to bring innovative concepts to life, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive solutions from concept to production. Successful contractors will be considered for full-time conversion after 6 months, offering excellent career advancement opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• Minimum 9 years of relevant engineering experience (Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience)
• Strong background in structural and interior payload design and integration
• Hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools such as CATIA and INOVA
• Demonstrated capability in design verification, validation, and supplier coordination
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, motivated approach

Nice To Haves

• Experience in demanding production environments
• Knowledge of FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA certification standards
• Expertise in aerospace interiors, materials, and design criteria
• Project or program management experience, including scheduling, financial assessment, and risk management
• Cross-functional team leadership and advanced problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish robust system designs
• Utilize 3D CAD tools (CATIA, INOVA) to create, maintain, and modify aircraft interior and structural component designs
• Provide detailed product definitions to engineering groups, production teams, suppliers, and customers
• Lead performance, integration, and analytical testing to validate and verify systems and components
• Manage supplier development, production, and test activities to optimize designs and meet program goals
• Investigate and evaluate emerging technologies for future product concepts
• Support production system fabrication and address structural and mechanical aspects of aircraft interiors
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and program management teams to deliver engineering solutions
