About The Position

Texas Instruments (TI) is looking for an Industrial Engineer to support our manufacturing operations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant and dynamic team-oriented environment with exposure to a variety of state-of-the art applications each day. The position involves supporting manufacturing data analysis, process improvement, capacity planning, and logistical support for capital investment projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research or related engineering degree
Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA, or higher
Ability to work in clean room environment wearing smock
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

Intermediate proficiency in SQL and data visualization software
Proficiency in programming / coding techniques to solve problems and enable automation
Experience in capacity modeling and working knowledge of simulation models
Ability to proactively initiate activities to support fab and group goals
Ability to work and interact equally with all fab disciplines and all levels of fab organization
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

Responsibilities

Large manufacturing data query writing and wrangling to glean actionable insight from complex datasets
Lead line and operational performance analysis to identify output and cycle time improvement opportunities
Take ownership of continuous improvement opportunities for our fab equipment and processes
Performing capacity analysis, cost analysis and operational “what-if” analysis to support capital investment and operational decision making
Provide logistical support for capital investment projects in the fab, including project scheduling, purchase order management, and factory layout planning
Proactively analyze factory execution entitlement through utilizing predictive modeling techniques to drive operational performance
Maintain capacity modeling data integrity via engineering change control monitoring and frequent communication with tool owners to ensure model readiness
Optimize fab dispatch and scheduling to maximize asset utilization and output
Effectively interact across all departments, groups, and disciplines to drive execution plans
