We have an excellent opportunity for Strongarm Dump Truck Drivers in our Utah division!
Requirements
- One or more years’ experience operating commercial vehicles
- Has knowledge of the aspects of construction operations
- Valid driver’s license and CDL required
- Must be able to speak and read and understand English.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
Nice To Haves
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability to safely and productively perform driving operations using a variety of equipment.
- Communicate as well as listen effectively.
- Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all personnel and to perform all duties safely and productively to ensure quality work.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections to identify any safety and maintenance issues.
- Perform daily housekeeping on truck.
- Safely operate and maintain truck.
- Properly load, secure & unload material.
- Accurately complete load tickets where applicable.
- Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations.
- Learn dumping operator and spotter hand signals for dumping in asphalt pavers and on sub-grade.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
- Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
- Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
