We have an excellent opportunity for Strongarm Dump Truck Drivers in our Utah division!

Requirements

  • One or more years’ experience operating commercial vehicles
  • Has knowledge of the aspects of construction operations
  • Valid driver’s license and CDL required
  • Must be able to speak and read and understand English.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks.

Nice To Haves

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ability to safely and productively perform driving operations using a variety of equipment.
  • Communicate as well as listen effectively.
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all personnel and to perform all duties safely and productively to ensure quality work.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections to identify any safety and maintenance issues.
  • Perform daily housekeeping on truck.
  • Safely operate and maintain truck.
  • Properly load, secure & unload material.
  • Accurately complete load tickets where applicable.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations.
  • Learn dumping operator and spotter hand signals for dumping in asphalt pavers and on sub-grade.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.).
  • Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
  • Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
