About The Position
The College of Engineering and Technology at Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking passionate and engaging adjunct faculty to teach part-time, face-to-face instruction at its Phoenix campus for the Fall 2026 Semester. This role involves facilitating classroom lectures and discussions, assessing student performance, and mentoring students to prepare them for careers in IT and Engineering. The faculty are expected to be experts in their fields and to uphold the university's mission, doctrinal statement, and ethical position statement, serving as positive examples to students.
Requirements
- Master's in Civil Engineering or related field
- Unofficial transcript reflecting degree earned with 18 graduate credit hours in the areas listed above
- Unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees
Nice To Haves
- PhD in Civil Engineering or related field
- Civil Engineer PE
- 5 years of experience
Responsibilities
- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
