About The Position

The College of Engineering and Technology at Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking passionate and engaging adjunct faculty to teach part-time, face-to-face instruction at our Phoenix campus. This role involves facilitating classroom lectures and discussions, assessing student performance, and mentoring students to prepare them for careers in the IT and Engineering fields. GCU faculty are committed to helping students grow academically, spiritually, and personally, acting as experts in their fields and passionate educators. The Mobile Game Development course equips students with the skills to create interactive games for mobile platforms, exploring challenges, optimizing design, user experience, and performance. Students will gain practical experience through hands-on projects, culminating in the creation of their own mobile game, preparing them for the mobile gaming industry.

Requirements

Minimum: BS in Game Development + 20 Graduate credits in any Science, Engineering, Business, or Social Studies field OR BS in any STEM field + 20 Graduate credits in Game Development
Portfolio of game projects
Knowledge of Game IDEs (e.g., Unity, Unreal)
Attach unofficial transcript reflecting degree earned with 18 graduate credit hours in the areas listed above
Attach unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees

Nice To Haves

Preferred: BS in any STEM field + MS in Game Development OR BS in any field + MS in Game Development

Responsibilities

Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
