About The Position

The City of Scottsdale is seeking an experienced supervisor to lead its newly established Liquid Road Pavement Preservation Program. This position will oversee daily operations, supervise a dedicated pavement preservation crew, and be responsible for the successful implementation and continued growth of this important roadway preservation initiative. The successful candidate will develop employees, ensure quality and safety, and play a key role in supporting Scottsdale's long-term pavement preservation and infrastructure investment goals. Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $43.67/hour or $90,833.60/annually.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent.
  • Five years of experience in related construction and maintenance work.
  • One year of lead or supervisory experience.
  • Must possess, at time of application, and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license with no major citations within the past 36 months prior to the start date.
  • Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.

Nice To Haves

  • Obtain within six months of hire or promotion and maintain through tenure International Municipal Signal Association Temporary Traffic Control Certification or equivalency.
  • FEMA IS-100 or IS-700 certification, or ability to achieve one certification within six months of hire or promotion.
