About The Position

Mary of Nazareth School, a Blue Ribbon school of the Archdiocese of Washington, is hiring a STREAM Teacher to serve for the remainder of the school year. The position reports to the Principal and offers compensation of $45,000 to $50,000. Applicants should forward a resume to [email protected]. The teacher contributes to students’ knowledge, development, and progress; supports learning across multiple subject areas; facilitates problem-solving activities; and serves as a positive role model. The role includes promoting learners’ well-being, health, and safety, following school procedures and protocols, and communicating subject matter effectively. The teacher is expected to support students of the relevant grade level, including students from diverse backgrounds and with varying abilities.

Requirements

Understand teaching methods appropriate for students in the corresponding grade level.
Be willing and able to work with students of the specified age group from diverse backgrounds and with varying abilities.
Be able to organize tasks and manage time effectively to meet numerous and diverse deadlines.
Be able to handle both small and large groups of students in a classroom setting.
Communicate effectively with students, including on sensitive topics.
Have familiarity with assistive technologies, internet and email systems, and word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software.
Know how to use technology in instruction to enhance student learning.
Be proficient in using various office and video equipment.
