As a member of the CRRD HQ team, you will enable the IRC to put its strategy into action. Strategy & Performance roles in CRRD work on a variety of projects, ranging from leading, coordinating, facilitating, enabling and tracking our annual planning and risk management processes, evaluating donor policy changes and their potential impact on our teams or compliance approach, supporting program quality or financial audit processes, to supporting internal communications and healthy leadership practices across international teams. In this role you will coordinate strategic projects independently and work closely with the Strategy Leads in each of the department’s four pillars – Program Delivery, Technical Excellence, the Emergencies Unit, and the Awards Management Unit – to own and advance critical strategic planning and performance tracking. You will be an essential team member helping IRC deliver greater impact for those who we work with and serve, including more than 20 million people worldwide affected by conflict and crisis. The Strategy Officer will provide planning and problem-solving support to the department on internal cross-pillar and cross-departmental projects. The position requires strong strategic problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills, a high level of personal initiative and the ability to work well in a distributed, multicultural, dynamic environment. The role sits within the Crisis Response Recovery & Development department, IRC’s humanitarian and development programming department working across more than 30 countries.
