About The Position

As an early member of Phylo's Strategy & Operations team, you'll own high-impact work from day one - your work will shape how we scale. Phylo is an applied research lab building agentic intelligence to accelerate discovery for every biomedical scientist. We believe AI agents will fundamentally transform how biomedical research is done. Our fast-growing team brings together researchers and engineers across AI and biology.

Requirements

• 2–4 years at a top consulting firm, investment bank, PE fund, or high-growth startup
• You can go from zero context to first deliverable quickly.
• Ability to ruthlessly prioritize 80/20 based on business needs - and if it’s unclear, you’ll help us get better insight into what truly matters.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling chops; you reach for data before opinions.
• Thrives in ambiguity - you don't wait for perfect information to move.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; you make complex things simple and hold others to the same standard.
• Fluent with AI tooling and actively using it to multiply your output.

Nice To Haves

• Life science or enterprise software experience.
• B2B SaaS operations background.
• Biology or life sciences knowledge or degree.
• Experience scaling ops at an early-stage startup.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable processes across GTM (revops, customer success), finance, recruiting, and core operations
• Build and own financial models and business metrics that drive real decisions, not decks that collect dust.
• Develop customer success playbooks that drive activation and measurable value for life science customers.
• Lead cross-functional projects end-to-end: partnerships, community-building, customer success, and more.
• Build dashboards and reporting systems so the whole company operates on shared data.
• Create crisp, compelling materials for strategic presentations and external partnerships.
• Partner directly with leadership and technical teams to keep operations tight as we scale.
