About The Position

The Director will act as a thought partner with market and system teams supporting: market entry assessments, enterprise capital planning, business transformation, and enterprise growth. Contribute to advancing the Corporate Strategy team’s goals to deliver on Ascension’s growth imperatives, vision, and mission. Build frameworks and methodologies by which the Corporate Strategy Team will pursue market entry, access, and business transformation / revenue diversification opportunities. Support National and Ministry Market leaders in strategic growth opportunity evaluation, including but not limited to: capital project evaluation, growth strategy design, new market evaluation, and revenue transformation/diversification assessments. Be a thought partner for Ministry Market Strategy Teams in the development of strategic growth goals, volume & growth forecasting, and market growth opportunities. Oversee execution and performance management of strategic growth initiatives. Support management of progress-to-plan and monthly Ministry Market business performance. Continually review, understand, and incorporate industry and competitive environment dynamics into strategy design and deployment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
  • Prior corporate strategy experience within the healthcare space.
  • 5 years of experience required; 10 years preferred with 3 or more years in leadership.
  • Healthcare consulting, finance, and/or healthcare corporate strategy experience.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Self-starter with a "get it done" attitude.
  • Ability to communicate concise, compelling recommendations (written & verbal) to executive and senior leadership.
  • Experience developing and executing enterprise and market-based strategy in a large, complex healthcare organization.
