About The Position

Alpha FMC is seeking motivated individuals for their Strategy and Deals Graduate Associate program, Class of 2027. This role involves working across various clients in the financial services industry, including asset managers, wealth managers, insurers, private equity, and fintech firms. Associates will support business growth and portfolio development through a range of projects such as market entry strategies, due diligence for acquisitions, and profitability assessments. The program offers a platform to develop consulting, technology, operations, strategy, and financial services skills. The role emphasizes a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and supportive environment with opportunities for learning and career growth. The position is based in the NYC office with an expectation of approximately 4 days per week in-office, and potential for client travel.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or non-MBA master's students graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Highly motivated individuals excited by problem-solving, consulting, and making an impact.
  • Genuine interest in financial services, consulting, and helping clients solve complex business challenges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and approach problems in a structured way.

  • Leadership experience through academic, professional, extracurricular, athletic, volunteer, or personal pursuits.
  • Available to start full-time in September 2027.
  • Willing and able to work from our NYC office, with an expectation of ~4 days per week in-office.
  • Willing to travel as needed for client engagements, workshops, and team events.
  • Have the legal right to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Complete an expedited week-long 'Alpha Training Programme' covering consulting tools, processes, and soft skills.
  • Undertake the industry-recognized Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 exam.
  • Work across a variety of Strategy and Deal projects ranging from 1-4 months in tight-knit teams.
  • Take ownership of specific project workstreams and deliver high-quality outputs to answer key scope questions.
  • Document requirements and build financial models to support analysis and decision making.
  • Gain hands-on experience interviewing stakeholders, conducting workshops, and presenting findings to the C-suite of leading financial services organizations.
  • Join regular socials with the rest of the Alpha team.
