About The Position
Decile Group is transforming venture capital into a force for good by launching next-generation venture capital firms. They operate an integrated platform for modern venture capital, including education (VC Lab), AI-enabled software for fund operations (Decile Hub), and services for launching institutional-grade funds (Start Fund). Decile Capital also deploys capital into emerging managers. This role supports a portfolio of emerging venture capital firms by assisting fund managers with deal review, best practices, and capital deployment throughout the entire process: sourcing, filtering, diligence, execution, and portfolio follow-up. The work involves reviewing and strengthening deal memos, providing feedback and diligence guidance, supporting programs that share strong opportunities across the platform, and maintaining a scouting network to surface deals aligned with fund theses.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of professional experience in VC, startups, operations, consulting, or a similar role involving the consideration of investment opportunities and communication with external stakeholders.
- Genuine understanding of the startup and venture investing ecosystem, including deal origination and the operations of founders, funds, and LPs.
- Comfort with CRM tools and data management.
- Fluency with modern AI frameworks and tools, and a habit of using them to optimize and scale workflow.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to move fast, follow up relentlessly, and close loops.

- Experience as a founder or operator who has built and raised for a company.
- Prior exposure to venture capital, fundraising, or investor relations.
Responsibilities
- Review fund deals and prepare structured feedback on memos, reinforcing the memo as an internal tool for building investment conviction, a checkpoint for key decision factors, and a deal-level fundraising asset.
- Assist with deal intake, pipeline tracking, and due diligence workflows across sourcing, filtering, diligence, execution, and portfolio follow-up.
- Prepare summaries and notes on deal documents, including SAFEs, convertible instruments, priced rounds, and side letters.
- Support programs that share deals across Decile platform managers and bring in opportunities from outside sources.
- Route opportunities to the appropriate funds based on thesis, stage, and geography, supporting channels for co-investment and referral.
- Support programs to engage deal scouts, matching opportunities to each fund's investment thesis.
- Maintain the scout network and ensure quality, leveraging a global community as a sourcing advantage.
