About The Position

Karman is a fast-growing, NVIDIA-backed AI company that applies AI to electric grids and AI data centers. Its platform provides real-time visibility and power-flow control, helping AI data center operators make better use of available energy infrastructure. The Strategy and Business Development Associate is an early-career role supporting Karman’s commercial growth. Working directly with the CCO and CEO, the associate researches prospective customers, conducts outreach, prepares for customer meetings, and develops analyses and deal models. The role also supports the VP, Strategy & Investor Relations with the financial model and board and investor materials. By handling this production work, the associate enables senior leaders to focus on judgment, relationships, and deals.

Requirements

Early-career background in consulting or investment banking, including experience producing analyses, models, and client-ready materials under real deadlines.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to produce clean, accurate models and clear, persuasive slides.
Structured approach to ambiguous problems: able to break down vague questions, find answers, and explain them simply.
Comfort with outbound outreach to prospective customers and following up with persistence and professionalism.
Drive and willingness to work hard, including long hours when circumstances demand.
Comfort working in a small company where structure is still being built and processes may need to be defined.

Responsibilities

Research prospective customers, including neoclouds, build target lists, and conduct outbound outreach.
Prepare for meetings with the CCO and CEO, participate in meetings, and track follow-ups.
Conduct market, competitor, and customer analyses and develop clear recommendations to inform commercial strategy.
Build and update models for the CCO showing the value of deals to Karman and its customers.
Support the VP, Strategy & Investor Relations with the financial model and board and investor materials as needed.
