  • 1+ years previous media planning experience, with multiple media channels preferred.
  • Strong understanding of media math, terminology, and analytical tools (MRI, Nielsen).
  • Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to discuss how those functions can or should be applied relative to the media planning process.
  • Client relationship management experience.
  • Experience developing and presenting plan presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Support Senior Strategist and Supervisor across client deliverables using understanding of the media planning process.
  • Create, format, and update flowcharts, ensuring accuracy.
  • Collaborate on the development of POVs for new media opportunities.
  • Utilize consumer research and competitive intelligence tools (MRI, Cadence, AdIntel) to identify trends and insights.
  • Strengthen understanding of media strategy and applications.
  • Prepare and distribute traffic instructions and partner with the Traffic team to track deadlines and deliverables.
  • Oversee billing and budget maintenance, working with a budget analyst when applicable.
  • Organize team documents and maintain timelines to meet client deadlines.
  • Establish frameworks and templates for presentation decks and team projects.
  • Build and foster open communication with clients and media partners, serving as a key HMI contact.
  • Collaborate with Senior Strategist and Supervisor to identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Keep Senior Strategist and Supervisor updated on the status and timing of deliverables.
  • Engage with other Horizon departments, such as Investment, Traffic, and Operations.
  • Apply knowledge of current/previous clients’ specific business and industry to enhance relationships.
  • Guide the development of Assistant Strategist, educating them on Horizon’s culture, the media industry, and relevant trends.
  • Delegate and manage Assistant daily tasks, reviewing all finalized work.
  • Contribute to performance reviews of Assistant Strategist, identifying strengths and areas for growth.
  • Participate in the interview process for Assistant Strategist positions.
