About The Position

The Strategic Social Media and Communications Intern will join Docusign's social media team within the Communications and Content organization. This hands-on role supports social community management, drafting copy for announcements, and developing and producing video and other social content. The intern will gain exposure to how a global brand builds its voice on social media and will own work that is published.

The role is based in Docusign's San Francisco office and is hybrid, with an expectation of working onsite at least two days per week. The internship lasts three months and is an individual contributor position reporting to the Thought Leadership & Social Content Director.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or graduate education level.
• Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Experience in communication, journalism, PR, or marketing.
• Experience with social media platforms.
• Must already be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis without current or future sponsorship; the role is not eligible for CPT, OPT, or sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Major or field of study in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, PR, or liberal arts (such as English or History).
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Strong judgment and common sense.
• Comfortable collaborating across a team and taking feedback.
• Organized and able to juggle several projects at once.

Responsibilities

• Manage communities across Docusign's social channels, responding to customer questions and comments with good judgment and a brand-appropriate tone.
• Draft proactive social copy for product announcements, company news, and campaign moments.
• Partner with the social team to develop concepts for social posts and campaigns.
• Support video production, from ideation through shoot day.
• Join project shoots in the San Francisco office as needed.
• Participate in weekly social team meetings and creative brainstorms.
• Review and help quality-check social posts before they go live.
• Use AI tools thoughtfully to speed up drafting and ideation while keeping the writing sharp and human.
