About The Position

A high-growth AI data company is hiring one of four Strategic Projects Leads in New York City. The role manages customer engagements for frontier AI labs from the initial conversation through final dataset delivery, turning open-ended research questions into finished, trusted datasets. The lead coordinates multiple projects, recruits and manages subject-matter experts without formal authority, adjusts priorities when researchers change direction, partners with engineers on supporting tools and workflows, and performs final quality checks on evals, verifiers, and trajectories before delivery. This is a hybrid position with three days in the office. Compensation includes a competitive base salary, potential bonus, and equity. The company will consider candidates needing visa transfers, including OPT and H1B, as well as candidates requiring new sponsorship.

Requirements

At least one year of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or startup operations, ideally in a fast-moving environment.
Experience at a top-tier consulting firm, investment bank, private equity firm, or venture-backed startup.
A proven record of leading client deliverables to deadline and taking full ownership of results.
Self-starter with strong judgment and genuine enthusiasm for AI data work.

Nice To Haves

Time spent as a Strategic Projects Lead or Deployment Strategist at an AI data lab or tech company.
Degree from a top-30 school.
Familiarity with trajectories, verifiers, and evals.
Comfort with vibe coding.
