About The Position

Mecka AI is building data infrastructure for robotics and embodied AI, including systems for data capture, labeling, and hardware-enabled workflows. The Strategic Projects Lead will build and run project management for studio projects: customer-specified data collections that may involve new hardware and tight deadlines.

The role owns the planning and delivery of the most complex studio projects, from scoping through delivery, and leads a team of project managers. It is accountable for projects landing on time and to specification, with coordination across hardware, engineering, operations, and partner teams.

Requirements

• 5 to 8+ years of experience in technical program management, management consulting, product operations, or operations leadership.
• At least 2 years of experience managing a team.
• A record of leading cross-functional programs to fixed deadlines, ideally involving hardware.
• Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into a clear plan and provide leadership with clear trade-off recommendations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with hardware pilots, computer vision or robotics data collection, or production settings such as film or manufacturing.
• Experience scaling delivery through external vendors or partners.

Responsibilities

• Build the project management office for studio work, including a consolidated view of active projects, a regular review cadence, and clear escalation paths.
• Lead the most complex projects from scoping through delivery, owning plans, targets, budgets, and risks.
• Translate customer requirements into delivery plans and plan capacity ahead of demand.
• Coordinate hardware, engineering, operations, and partner teams around a shared plan and clear blockers between them.
• Hire, coach, and lead a team of project managers.
• Report project status and risks to the Head of Studio every week.
