About The Position

The Strategic Project Lead owns the relationship with one or more lab partners and everything delivered to them. This role serves as the senior point of contact, responsible for maintaining account health, scoping future engagements, and expanding initial pilots into production work. Sitting between origination and execution, the lead ensures projects are delivered to standard, manages the commercial aspects of the relationship, and drives account growth.

Requirements

  • Proven experience owning and growing a client or partner relationship, transforming initial engagements into expanding, repeat business.
  • Experience in a customer-facing technical role (delivery lead, TAM, forward-deployed, or account/engagement management) with responsibility for scoping work and commercial outcomes.
  • Experience working with or selling to AI labs, ML teams, or technical enterprise buyers, capable of engaging in senior technical conversations.
  • 5+ years in account management, engagement management, technical delivery leadership, or partnerships, with recent exposure to AI/ML data, model evaluation, or benchmarking.
  • Proficiency in understanding how frontier data and evaluation work is bought and judged, enabling credible scoping and quality defense to sophisticated buyers.
  • Track record of growing accounts and converting pilots to production.
  • Strong commercial instincts and comfort with ambiguity in an early-stage, fast-moving environment.
  • Fluent English.

Responsibilities

  • Account ownership: Serve as the senior, trusted point of contact for lab partners, understanding their needs and positioning our work to secure new engagements.
  • Scoping & expansion: Convert requests and pilots into scoped engagements and SOWs, and grow pilot engagements into production work.
  • Delivery oversight: Own outcomes across the account’s projects, ensuring a strong quality reputation.
  • Commercial sense: Manage scope, pricing inputs, and margin at the account level, escalating to the CEO for pricing and subject-matter experts for technical substance when needed.
  • Strategic read: Track lab partner trajectories, identify future opportunities, and provide origination signals to the Human Data Evals Lead.
