As a Co-op student/Intern at Trench, you will be part of the Strategic Procurement group and responsible for Supplier Management and Strategic Supply Chain Initiatives. You will have an opportunity to understand the supply chain of a manufacturing location and gain exposure to a wide range of supplier topics, such as pricing, negotiations, contracts, and vendor management.

Requirements

  • Student must be working towards an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration and must be in their 2nd year or higher or recent graduate.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Self-driven, resourceful, and has a strong work ethic to achieve goals independently and work well in group.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS-PowerPoint and MS Excel is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end to end support to the Strategic Manager in the Supplier Management Process, including contract negotiation, qualification, selection, evaluation, development, and classification.
  • Assist in the maintenance, organization, and distribution of procurement records and information (procurement procedures, policies, price lists, contracts, supplier evaluations etc.).
  • Analyze and create procurement data reports using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Request for quote, analyze for Total Cost of Ownership including cost calculations and comparisons.
