Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Biology, Biotechnology, Engineering, Business and Science or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in an Business – Related occupation.
  • 4 years of experience in Microsoft Excel and power point tools to summarize data and present information in a visual representation for leadership level
  • Experience in translating drug program commercialization needs into resource and investment requirements to deliver on timeline plan

  • Facilitate creation of cross functional plans and key performance metrics or indicators to measure progress related to clinical development. Includes review of competitive landscape, analysis of current therapeutic portfolio, largescale analytics of portfolio timelines, benchmarking against competitor data to develop and track KPIs
  • Creation of status reports for leadership that highlights key achievements and risks for project delivery
  • Lead the identification of process improvement solutions that include engaging cross functional stakeholders and assessment of data trends related to supporting drug development
  • Knowledge of Visio a process mapping tool
  • Manage functional budget, cost centers and Profit & Loss (P&L) with SAP, Ariba, Tableau and Smartsheet

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy development, goal setting, execution of organizational plans, creation of organizational communications, project management and implementation of projects across multiple departments including Clinical Pharmacology
  • Integrate biotechnology and clinical development knowledge to drive portfolio execution activities and achieving therapeutic area goals
  • Generate and provide reports, dashboards and presentations, including Operating/Business Reviews, All-Staff presentations, & reports on business performance
  • Develop and lead functional budget and resource planning and tracking in alignment with the global budget process; own functional budget and work with other leaders to allocate spend across therapeutic portfolio
  • Oversee the validation and maintenance of functional resource algorithms and review of resource forecasting assessments
  • Manage process for headcount tracking and new position approvals and work with leaders and HR on appropriate recruiting, onboarding, and talent management activities
  • Turn unstructured business issues/requests into appropriate action plans and projects that result in high quality, significant and impactful deliverables
  • Manage the preparation and orchestrate functional leadership and staff meetings to achieve strategic objectives of the organization, including agenda preparation, presentation development and facilitating external speaker engagement
  • Develops strategy for and drives execution of scientific and medical advisory boards, and drives scientific discussions with key medical and healthcare professionals
  • Represent the business strategy for the Function and partner with other functions such as Human Resources, Finance, Corporate Communications in support of the strategy and goals
  • Lead or Represent the Function on process change and improvement initiatives
  • Develop and maintain business relationships and drive standard processes with other Global Development SP&Os and across R&D functions/ departments
