Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience in transmission planning, operations planning, and system operations required
Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional initiatives
Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to lead in a fast-paced operational environment

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in engineering, energy systems, business administration, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team through accountability, technical excellence, and employee growth
Oversee the reliable and timely execution of transmission and generation outages in alignment with MISO Tariff, Business Practice Manuals, reliability standards, and operating procedures
Ensure engineering studies are accurate, well-documented, technically sound, and completed according to quality assurance and validation processes
Collaborate with system operations and market operations teams to strengthen coordination, execution consistency, and continuous performance improvement
Drive enhancements in processes, tools, technology, automation, workflow efficiency, and data visibility to improve quality and customer experience
Build and maintain strong relationships with Transmission Owners, Generator Operators, vendors, and neighboring RTOs to support effective communication and coordination
Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
Represent Operations Planning in internal and external committees, working groups, and project teams
Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse, highly skilled workforce through effective performance management and development planning
