We are looking for a strategic, well-connected Strategic Partnerships Manager to support our efforts to scale Prosecutor-Initiated Resentencing in the states where it is law – CA, MN, IL, OR, WA, and UT. Under the direction of the Director of Strategic Partnerships, and in collaboration with the Chief Strategy Officer, this role is focused on identifying and developing partnerships with prosecutors’ offices that are interested in using PIR to review cases under their jurisdiction. The work will also include cultivating an ecosystem of support among essential stakeholders, including corrections, defense attorneys, judges, and reentry organizations. Please note that this is a full-time position that we anticipate will last no more than one year. This position will be focused on a territory that will include Minnesota, Illinois, and Utah, with the potential for other states as well. For this reason, candidates who have worked in or still work in these states will be prioritized. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker with deep relationships in the criminal justice landscape—ideally a former prosecutor or someone who has worked closely with prosecutors in their career and maintains relationships with prosecutor offices. We are looking for someone who can help navigate local relationships and establish FTP as the premier technical assistance provider for resentencing in their assigned territory.
