About The Position

The fundamental reason this position exists is to lead the City’s efforts to secure and manage strategic partnerships, sponsorships, philanthropic support, and external funding that enhance citywide programs, events, and community initiatives. This position expands the City’s capacity to leverage public and private resources, reduce reliance on general fund expenditures where appropriate, and strengthen long-term sustainability of priority projects. The incumbent serves as the primary liaison to corporate, nonprofit, foundation, and community partners; designs and manages partnership frameworks; leads cross-departmental coordination for fundraising and resource development; and ensures unified external engagement and consistent relationship management across the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in performing work of considerable complexity and responsibility in strategic partnerships, sponsorship development, philanthropy/fund development, or external resource development.
Demonstrated success in securing multi-year commitments.
Demonstrated success in managing a complex and diverse partner portfolio.
Demonstrated success in supporting initiatives with substantial external visibility and organizational impact.
Ability to provide detailed information concerning the kinds of jobs held, the dates they held them, where and exactly what their duties were on the application and supplemental questionnaire.
