About The Position

Acceleration Partners is seeking an experienced Strategic Partnership Development Manager to support the growth of the Strategic Partner Growth department, with a key focus on the Brazil/LATAM affiliate space. This role requires business development and account management experience. The individual will be responsible for joining client calls to pitch high-value opportunities, providing strategic insights, tracking progress towards goals, and proactively managing the top 10 partners for their respective clients. A proactive, action-oriented approach with effective questioning is critical for success in this role.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Portuguese (Spanish fluency will also be considered).
  • Reside in the US or Mexico.
  • Hold a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
  • 4+ years of business development or relevant work experience (including account management, contract negotiations, marketing).
  • Experience working in a sales or account management role with enterprise clients.
  • Proven track record of reaching and exceeding goals.
  • Experience in a business development role.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills with the ability to push back without damaging relationships.
  • Detail-oriented and persuasive.
  • Proven record of success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable, fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable leading client-facing presentations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a natural communicator and influencer.
  • Knowledge of the digital Brazilian Market.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Performance Marketing (particularly Affiliate Marketing) industry is preferred.
  • Work from home and corporate office experience is a plus.
  • A network of affiliate marketing relationships in LATAM.
  • Ability to quickly develop new relationships who can recruit brand-to-brand and unique partners.
  • Experience working with enterprise brands with a deep understanding of their business and media challenges.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of performance and acquisition marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the growth of clients through the creation of high-potential relationships and optimization of publishers.
  • Follows client-approved processes for paid placements and partner optimizations.
  • Serves as a trusted and knowledgeable resource, acting as a subject matter expert across partners and the verticals of their managed clients.
  • Proactively leads conversations to share insights and expertise, adding value to accounts, the department, and AP.
  • Identifies and recruits high-quality partners with strong revenue potential based on client needs, utilizing tools like APVision and SimilarWeb.
  • Communicates clearly, informatively, and engagingly, asking relevant questions during publisher interactions to vet opportunities effectively.
  • Manages day-to-day communication with top publishers in the program for paid placements and optimization.
  • Proactively identifies and executes areas of opportunity and optimization across the program to drive revenue growth.
  • Optimizes opportunities with top publishers on behalf of the client, viewing themselves as an extension of the client's business and fostering long-lasting relationships.
  • Identifies and acts on opportunities that drive client growth while maintaining a healthy return on investment.
  • Demonstrates exceptional calendar and time management skills.
  • Participates in engagement kickoff calls with clients and ongoing calls as needed, asking appropriate questions and understanding client goals and KPIs.
  • Creates plans for recruitment and/or paid placement initiatives to support the client’s program, including expected timelines.
  • Implements paid placement strategy, including negotiation of terms, campaign set-up, commission changes, screenshots, and communication with partners.
  • Executes recruitment strategy, including list building, outreach templates, and trackers.
  • Adapts to change and pivots strategies to reach client goals, setting expectations and projecting new goals when not achievable.
  • Consistently communicates with confidence and professionalism, constructively pushing back on unrealistic client goals while preserving trust and strengthening the relationship.
  • Ensures clients have all necessary information to make informed decisions, clearly articulating the 'why' behind each opportunity and its expected value.
  • Consistently demonstrates intellectual curiosity and a willingness to challenge the status quo, pitching and securing approval for innovative opportunities.
  • Clearly articulates the 'why' behind each recommendation, grounding proposals in data and relevant client metrics.
  • Maintains deep knowledge across publisher verticals and applies that expertise to confidently address client questions and identify opportunities.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the client’s business and competitive landscape.
  • Proactively investigates the reasons behind 'no' or rejection, thoughtfully pushes back when appropriate, and has a track record of successfully overcoming objections.
  • Leverages knowledge to propose suggestions or alternatives.
