About The Position

The Strategic Operations Maintenance Manager facilitates and implements manufacturing improvements. This role works with production personnel to address safety issues, maintains facility layouts, procures capital equipment and tooling, and coordinates preventive maintenance programs. The manager also supports capacity and contingency planning, regulatory compliance, and improvements in efficiency, safety, delivery, and quality. The position requires a positive professional who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Typical hours are Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; the employee is expected to work a sufficient schedule to meet the role’s expectations. Travel is 0–10%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
5–7 years of relevant industry experience.
Ability to work well both in a team and individually.
Ability to work a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role.

Responsibilities

Work with production personnel to identify and correct safety issues.
Develop and maintain facility layouts using AutoCAD.
Justify and procure capital equipment and tooling.
Coordinate facility and equipment preventive maintenance programs.
Understand applicable government regulations and ensure compliance.
Assist in developing capacity and contingency plans for Excellerate.
Understand assembly and operations, and drive efficiency, safety, delivery, and quality improvements using 80/20 and MRD (Market Rate of Demand).
Help drive employee improvement projects and administer business unit and company programs.
Develop and maintain KPIs derived from maintenance software.
Develop or optimize processes to meet quality, cost, and efficiency requirements.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
