About The Position

Nscale is seeking a highly analytical and execution-focused Strategic Operations Lead to work closely with the CEO and Chief of Staff on the company's most critical priorities. This role is central to the business, responsible for driving cross-functional initiatives, supporting planning and operational cadence, and providing senior leadership with the necessary insights for rapid, high-quality decision-making. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, transforming ambiguity into structured plans, ensuring accountability across teams, and generating insights that influence company direction. The role is based in or requires relocation to San Francisco.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, investment banking, or a high-growth startup environment.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a track record of structuring ambiguous problems into actionable plans.
  • Highly analytical, with experience in building models, dashboards, and synthesizing data into insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive alignment across senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments with a high degree of ownership.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear narratives.
  • High attention to detail and a bias for action, with a focus on delivering outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic initiatives by supporting and leading high-priority, cross-functional projects on behalf of the CEO.
  • Partner with leaders across Product, GTM, Finance, and Operations to drive alignment and execution.
  • Break down ambiguous problems into clear workstreams, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Conduct deep dives and ad hoc analysis on strategic and operational topics.
  • Run operating cadence and planning by supporting the company’s operating rhythm, including weekly leadership meetings and follow-ups.
  • Assist in quarterly planning cycles, including OKR tracking and alignment across teams.
  • Track progress against company priorities, identifying risks and gaps early.
  • Work across teams to unblock issues and maintain execution momentum.
  • Own reporting and business insights by owning the weekly reporting process, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and actionable.
  • Build and maintain core dashboards and tracking frameworks across the business.
  • Identify trends, risks, and performance gaps, escalating insights to the CEO and Chief of Staff.
  • Enable CEO and leadership team by preparing high-quality briefing materials for leadership meetings, board discussions, and external engagements.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and actionable outputs.
  • Act as a thought partner to the Chief of Staff on priorities, focus areas, and execution.
