About The Position

The Strategic Insights Analyst transforms business data into actionable insights through analytics, reporting, and business intelligence solutions. The role partners with stakeholders across the organization to develop dashboards, perform analysis, identify improvement opportunities, and support strategic decision-making through data-driven recommendations. It combines technical expertise, business knowledge, and problem-solving to deliver meaningful reporting solutions and drive continuous improvement. The analyst designs, develops, and maintains business intelligence solutions, dashboards, and analytics applications; analyzes sales, operational, financial, inventory, and customer data; and translates business requirements into metrics, visualizations, data models, and reports. The role also develops SQL queries and data validation processes, troubleshoots reporting and data quality issues, establishes KPIs with stakeholders, presents findings to technical and non-technical audiences, and supports the planning, development, testing, deployment, and adoption of analytics initiatives. The position contributes to research and implementation of analytical tools and methodologies, identifies opportunities involving analytics, automation, AI, and emerging technologies, and maintains documentation and team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, data analysis, or a related field.
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
Proficiency with Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
Experience with relational databases, data modeling concepts, and enterprise data sources.
Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Commitment to data accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Snowflake, Python, Power Automate, AI tools, Microsoft Copilot, or other advanced analytics technologies.
Experience supporting sales, operations, supply chain, inventory, purchasing, customer, or financial analytics functions.
Experience developing enterprise-scale Power BI solutions and reporting applications.
Knowledge of data governance, KPI development, and business process improvement methodologies.
Experience in distribution, utility, industrial, manufacturing, or wholesale business environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions, dashboards, and analytics applications that turn data into actionable insights.
Analyze sales, operational, financial, inventory, and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and performance improvements.
Translate business requirements into metrics, visualizations, data models, and reporting solutions that support decision-making.
Develop and maintain SQL queries, data models, and data validation processes to ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and performance.
Troubleshoot reporting, data quality, and system issues and support continuous improvement of enterprise analytics solutions.
Partner with stakeholders to understand business processes, define reporting requirements, establish KPIs, and provide analytical recommendations.
Present findings and insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Identify opportunities to improve business processes through analytics, automation, AI, and emerging technologies.
Participate in research, development, and implementation of analytical tools, methodologies, and reporting capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the planning, development, testing, deployment, and support of analytics initiatives.
Maintain documentation, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and support organization-wide adoption of analytics solutions.
