About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Strategic Initiatives Lead to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard. This role involves developing enterprise strategy artifacts, leading cross-functional working groups, producing executive briefings, and overseeing the execution of strategic workstreams. The ideal candidate will evaluate emerging technologies, guide transition and integration planning, and develop enterprise dashboards to provide visibility into initiative performance. Coordination with ARNG G-6, state/regional partners, and program offices is essential, as is the institutionalization of lessons-learned and continuous-improvement processes for enterprise strategic governance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA or Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Minimum 10+ years progressive experience in strategic planning, program/portfolio management, or strategy execution
  • At least 5 years in enterprise/DoD or large multi‑stakeholder environments

Nice To Haves

  • Prior ARNG/DoD strategic or portfolio leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop enterprise strategy artifacts: roadmaps, milestone frameworks, COAs, ROMs, and performance metrics for modernization and integration initiatives.
  • Lead cross‑functional working groups and enterprise planning sessions to synchronize technical teams, program offices, and Government leadership.
  • Produce executive briefings, decision papers, strategic analyses, and communication products for senior leadership and governance boards.
  • Oversee execution of strategic workstreams: track milestones, identify/mitigate risks, and coordinate corrective actions across task areas.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and perform capability gap/impact analyses to prioritize initiatives that improve readiness and mission effectiveness.
  • Guide transition and integration planning: stakeholder engagement, change management artifacts, and operationalization strategies.
  • Develop enterprise dashboards and reporting to provide visibility into initiative performance and cross‑organizational impacts.
  • Coordinate with ARNG G‑6, state/regional partners, and program offices to align priorities and resource allocation.
  • Institutionalize lessons‑learned and continuous‑improvement processes for enterprise strategic governance.
